Market Report for June 30, 2007

This week at the market:

Berry's Produce: The Berrys had a nice assortment of produce including melons, fresh sweet corn, peppers, tomatoes, squash, beets, beans, eggplant and cucumbers.



Bloomers Fresh Cut Flowers:
Robin & Elaine had a stunning assortment of potted annuals, cut flowers and herbs.



Lowe's Arlington Farms: Lowe's offerings this week included blueberries, daikon radish, garlic, preserves, cut flowers, tomatoes, herbs, potatoes, cabbage, corn, eggplant, beets & green beans.




Squirrel Hollow Farms: Beth Mills was cheerfully recovering from what was reported as an incredibly successful farm tour last weekend. The County Extension Office organized the tours last Sunday to showcase a number of farms in the area. Squirrel Hollow had as many as 600 visitors during the day-long self-guided tour. Mrs. Mills brought an assortment of her goat milk cheeses, as well as duck eggs.


New Vendors
Hidden Brook Farm: Bobby & James Hill sold assorted locally grown vegetables. We'll get some good pictures of their offerings for next week.

Allen's Farm also had assorted locally grown vegetables. Photos to come next week.
